RED POMEGRANATE

This cultivar dates back centuries. A pure RED AFGHAN landrace strain direct from Afghanistan.

Originating from a family farm in the Arghandab District, Kandahar Afghanistan. The selection of plants this cultivar provides will feature flush hues of reds and greens with dense buds growing strong and unaffected all the way till the month of October (North America). The aromas and flavors represented are musky, spicy and acrid aromas such as pine needles, musk perfume, various spices such as cloves, cinnamon bark and coriander.

Now one has to remember that these are an authentic landrace. Growers from that part of the world open pollinate with a ratio of 20 females to every 1 male. In an open field they kill the weak male plants and leave the strong males to pollinate all of the females. Once the season is over they can then see the best females and those are the plants they harvest the seeds from. The other plants are cut and stacked like a tee-pee to dry. Once dry they extract the trichomes and make hash.
